Speakenstein-R

The Speakenstein-R, a circuit bent Texas Instruments Speak & Read. Video demo below:

A circuit bent Texas instruments Speak & Read. it has the classic Speak series glitching and long looping features, and what I call a “freeze”, in which it does very short loops of whatever phoneme it’s on when activated by a toggle switch. It can be advanced manually (a momentary switch disables the freeze while pressed and reactivates it on release). A microcontroller facilitates triggering this function from an external audio signal (2:34 in the video, being triggered by my circuit bent Alesis SR-16 drum machine) or internal clock (1:34).
