There are 6 circuit bent instruments rehoused in this unit. The “master” is a Fisher-Price Baby Smartronics Animal Quartet. It is contained in the bottom half. It normally plays tunes and 5 lights go off in rhythm with the tunes. When it’s circuit bent, it makes weird, quirky loops, but the lights still follow the quirky loops. I thought, “what if the 5 lights could trigger 5 other circuit bent “slave” instruments, and you could also choose which of the 5 instruments are triggered by each light?” Each of the 5 “slave” instruments has pitch control, and you can choose which of its sounds are triggered. The 5 slave devices are a Kidz Delight Remote, a Radical Rhythms Guitar, an unbranded animal sounds toy, a Megcos Musical Mobile Phone, and a Junior Drummer.
